About Divine Science
Spiritual But Not ReligiousOur Mission & Vision
What is Divine Science?
Divine Science is a spiritual teaching, born in 1888, that invites you to see the world — and yourself — a little differently. At its core is one simple, radical idea: God is a loving presence found everywhere, including right within you. You're not separate from that goodness; you're an expression of it. Live from that truth, and life tends to open up in beautiful ways.
Spiritual But Not Religious
At its heart, Divine Science is an invitation: to see yourself as a sacred being, made in the image and likeness of a Creator who is present everywhere — including right within you. It's all Good, and only Good. Because we're all children of that One Divine Presence, we're connected to it and to each other, and living from that truth naturally leads to a happier, fuller life. As the Statement of Being puts it: we are the individualized expression of God, ever one with perfect life, love, and substance.
Nona Brooks said it best: "It is not a religion we are making, it is a life." Divine Science Federation International exists to bring people together around that life — students, practitioners, and friends alike — spreading this Truth and keeping the movement's history and teachings alive for anyone who wants to explore them.

Because our world could really use less separation and more togetherness - in everything. Don't you think?
Unity
We are not separate from each other or from the Divine — we're all expressions of the same One Presence, woven from the same Source. When we remember this, "us vs. them" starts to soften, and connection feels less like something we build and more like something we simply notice.
Freedom
True freedom isn't about having no boundaries — it's an inner state. It's knowing that no circumstance, label, or past mistake defines who you really are. You are always free to choose your next thought, and that choice is where your power lives.
Love
Love isn't just a feeling we chase — it's the very substance we're made of. It's patient, it doesn't keep score, and it's already present within you, waiting to be expressed rather than earned. The more we let it move through us, the more natural it becomes.
Non-Judgment
Letting go of judgment — of others and of ourselves — makes room for grace. It doesn't mean ignoring truth; it means meeting people (including yourself) with compassion instead of a verdict. When we release the need to judge, we're free to simply love what's in front of us.
"If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As we change our own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards us."
